CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying

Canada won a silver medal at the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Vancouver. After winning all three group matches, Canada won the 27 January semi-final 3:1 over Mexico to qualify for the London 2012 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament. Watching captain Christine Sinclair score two goals, the 22,954 fans established a new attendance record for the competition. Two nights later, Canada fell to USA in the final, this time with 25,427 fans in attendance. Overall, Canada’s five home matches in the competition drew 76,530 cumulative spectators, an average of more than 15,000 per match.
