Men’s International Friendly in Montréal

Canada’s national team gathered in Montréal for this first international soccer match against USA. As noted at the time, Canadian players were selected from the “leading senior clubs in Montréal and Toronto” for this first international match. The American team predominantly featured players from the American Professional Soccer League in eastern USA. The match was played at Alexandra Park, with advance ticket sales conducted at locations such as Mount Royal Hotel, Le Windsor Hotel, and Queen’s Hotel. Reserved seats were sold for $1.00 and $1.50.
