John Bell Gourlay... soccer family (brother Parnell)... he was 77 years old when he passed away on 7 April 1949 in West Vancouver, BC, CAN (Mountain View Cemetery and Crematorium)... worked as a machinist... wrote historian Colin Jose, he was “known as the father of football in Galt for his dedication to the game”... also wrote Jose, “recognised as the greatest full back in Ontario at the time but was also regarded as a fine captain”...
