Canada’s women’s national team has announced the roster for its two-week camp in Gaithersburg, MD. The camp runs 18-27 May and precedes the national team’s trip to Hamar, Norway for an international match against Norway. The camp is part of Canada’s 2010 preparations for the 2010 CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup, expected to be played this October and November.

Toronto FC, the championship leader, will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC in what is considered a must win for the host. Vancouver still has three matches left to catch Toronto, but must draw or win to stay alive in the points chase.
The Canadian Soccer Association has welcomed FC Edmonton as the newest professional club in membership. The new membership will allow FC Edmonton to establish itself as a professional club as it prepares to enter a professional league for the 2011 season.
