Oakville Soccer Club alumni Kara Lang and Diana Matheson are coming home this 19 September for a special soccer clinic with OSC members at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre. Lang and Matheson will be coming to town with members of Canada’s national team in advance of the 30 September Women’s International Friendly match at BMO Field in Toronto, ON.

Canada closed out a two-match international homestand with a 2:1 victory over Honduras on Tuesday night in Montréal. The victory was played in front of 7,525 fans at Stade Saputo – the largest crowd for a Men’s International Friendly match in Montréal.
Paul Stalteri has established a new mark for appearances with Canada’s national team. Thedefender and long-time captain made his 83rd appearance on Tuesday 7 September, breaking the former record established by defender Randy Samuel in 1997. Stalteri established the record in the Men’s International Friendly match against Honduras at Stade Saputo in Montréal.

Canada’s men’s national team travels to Montréal on Sunday 5 September in between two home Men’s International Friendly matches on the FIFA International schedule. Canada lost 0:2 to Peru on Saturday night and now looks ahead to facing Honduras on 7 September at Stade Saputo in Montréal, QC.
The FIFA International schedule features a full slate of football matches these coming days, including a pair of Men’s International Friendly matches featuring Canada over the long weekend. In all, there are 67 international matches over a five-day period from 3-7 September, with Canada facing Peru on 4 September in Toronto and then Honduras on 7 September in Montréal.
There is plenty of experience on Canada’s roster in advance of the two Men’s International Friendly matches on September’s FIFA International calendar. The Canadian Soccer Association has announced that the 30 September Canada-China home match will be broadcast live on Rogers Sportsnet. This means that fans across the country can watch all three Canadian home matches on Rogers Sportsnet in the month of September. The Canada-China Women’s International Friendly match, presented by Winners, will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet East and Rogers Sportsnet Ontario at 19.30 ET / 16.30 PT.
