Ticket details for Canada’s 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Qualifiers home matches were released today as the Canadian Soccer Association launched its “True Patriot Love” promotional offensive. The team will be playing three matches (Friday 2 September v St. Lucia; Tuesday 11 October v Puerto Rico; Tuesday 15 November v St. Kitts and Nevis) at BMO Field in Toronto as part of the CONCACAF second round of group qualifications. Public sales will begin on Monday 8 August at 10.00 ET / 07.00 PT and will feature fan friendly new packages.

From 203 participating nations, only 31 spots are available to the world’s biggest tournament, with host Brazil already qualified for the 2014 event. The qualifying routes were determined on Saturday 30 July at the Preliminary Draw in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

CONCACAF has announced the schedule for Round 2 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Qualifiers™. The matches for all 24 teams will be played on 2 and 6 September, 7 and 11 October, and 11 and 15 November.
More than a dozen CONCACAF nations have lost points on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking published on 27 July 2011, most notably because of the devaluation of points gained from matches at the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup (July 2009). Canada is now ranked 10th amongst CONCACAF nations with 314 points, a 73-point drop from the previous month. The drop in points forced a 22-place drop on the world ranking, from 83rd to 105th overall.
Canada was ranked eighth on the most recent FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking released on 22 July. The Canadian team lost 75 points after successive losses at the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup Germany 2011. The team fell below 2,000 points, but remained amongst the top-10 nations.
