Canada has booked six new dates on the road to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. Canada will play six matches against group opponents Honduras, Panama and Cuba from 8 June to 16 October of next year, with three matches to be played at home and three matches to be played on the road.

Héctor Vergara, Canada’s longest-serving official on the FIFA List of Referees and Assistant Referees, has announced his retirement. Vergara served as a FIFA official for a final time on 11 November 2011.
