Yallop Announces Roster Change For Costa Rica

Ottawa, ON – Canada’s Men’s World Cup Team made several changes to their roster following Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Honduras. Jason deVos picked up his second yellow card of the 2006 World Cup Qualifying campaign and will miss the game. Paul Stalteri and Adrian Serioux have both been ruled out with injuries. Stalteri injured his knee in training Thursday and will miss the game. He will also await a disciplinary decision after being red carded in Saturday’s game for throwing a bottle from the bench in frustration. Stalteri was carrying a yellow card from the Belize series. Serioux has been fighting a shoulder injury sustained with Millwall last Saturday and will return to England for treatment. Head Coach Frank Yallop has called in Montreal Impact defender Gabriel Gervais and midfielder Sandro Grande for Wednesday’s World Cup Qualifier against Costa Rica in San Jose.
