FC Edmonton accepted by the Association

The Canadian Soccer Association has welcomed FC Edmonton as the newest professional club in membership. The new membership will allow FC Edmonton to establish itself as a professional club as it prepares to enter a professional league for the 2011 season.

“This is a good move for professional soccer in Canada,” said Canadian Soccer Association Dr. Dominic Maestracci.
“FC Edmonton is pleased to be accepted as a member of the Canadian Soccer Association,” said FC Edmonton’s General Manager Mel Konowalchuk. “We consider it an honour to be part of Canada’s pro soccer contingent.”
