Canadian Olympic teams compete on Friday

Canada’s two Olympic qualification teams play preparatory matches on Friday 7 March. Canada’s men’s U-23 team is preparing for next week’s CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament (12-23 March in Carson, CA and Nashville, TN) while Canada’s women’s senior team is preparing for next month’s CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament (2-12 April in Ciudad Juarez, México).
The Canadian women play Asian champions Japan in the Cyprus Cup (15.00 local time in Cyprus) while the Canadian men play 2006 NCAA champions UC Santa Barbara (19.00 local time in Oxnard, CA).

From the men’s training camp, four new players have arrived since Tuesday: Ryan Gyaki, Kennedy Owusu-Ansah, Jacob Lensky, and Graham Ramalho. Three players, meanwhile, were released: Tristan Murray, Marco Casalinuovo and Myles Davis.
