Canada’s 35-man provisional roster announced for this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup

Canada Soccer announced today the 35-man provisional roster Head Coach Benito Floro and his staff has submitted for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The final roster of 23-players must come from the provisional roster and in the event of an injury or in the event a player needs to be replaced, only a player from the provisional roster can be called into fill his place.

Canada opens the Gold Cup on Wednesday 8 July against El Salvador at StubHub Center in Carson, California, USA. They then head to Houston to take on Jamaica on 11 July before coming to Toronto to take on Costa Rica at BMO Field on 14 July.

TICKETS: Tickets for the 14 July CONCACAF Gold Cup double-header, including Canada v Costa Rica, are still available on ticketmaster.ca starting at $25 (plus applicable fees).

It will be the first time a CONCACAF Gold Cup game takes place in Canada.

Canada will assemble at the end of June in Santa Barbara, California prior to the tournament’s opening game.

The top two teams from each group; as well as the two highest-seeded third-place finishers will advance to the knock-out stages.

Canada won the Gold Cup in 2000 and has since succeeded in making it to the tournament semi-finals on two other occasions (2002, 2007); and made it to the quarter-finals in 2009.
