Canada faces Ukraine on Friday 8 October at Valeriy Lobanosvskyi Stadium in Kyiv, Ukraine. This will be Canada’s sixth match of the 2010 season, having won its last match 2:1 over Honduras on 7 September in MontrĂ©al.

Coach Hart has 18 players in camp, 17 of whom arrived from professional clubs in Europe. Those first 17 players trained together on Tuesday; the full squad of 18 trained on Wednesday. The team will next have its official training session on Thursday morning, with the training session closed to local media.

Ukraine’s most recent match was a 2:1 victory over Chile in a Men’s International Friendly match, also played in Kyiv. Ukraine is co-host to the UEFA EURO 2012 with Poland, so unlike other European nations it does not have competitive qualification matches in 2010.
