Canada To Play Panama

Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Men’s World Cup Team will play an international friendly against Panama in Panama City on July 8 at as it prepares for the Copa America which kicks off on July 13 against Argentina in Medellin, Colombia. The game in Panama City will be played at 4:30 p.m. local time.

A select group of Canadian players will meet and train outside Toronto from July 2-6 prior to flying to Panama City on July 6 where they will be joined by A-League and MLS players. Following the international on July 8, the Canadian team will fly to Medellin, Colombia.



Canadian goalkeeper Pat Onstad will be unavailable for the Copa America after discovering he has a broken bone in his wrist. Onstad sustained the injury while training in Japan at the Confederations Cup. The Canadian roster for the tournament will be announced early next week.
