Canada to announce roster on Thursday

Canadian head coach Stephen Hart will announce his roster this Thursday 25 August 2011 for the upcoming CONCACAF Stage 2 matches of 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers™. Hart’s roster will feature in two upcoming competitive matches, the home opener on 2 September at BMO Field in Toronto and the away match on 6 September at Estadio Juán Rámon Loubriel in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.



Tickets to the home match at BMO Field are available via Ticketmaster at 855.985.5000 or Ticketmaster.ca. Individual tickets start at just $20, although fans can take advantage of a three-match package to save 15% off the individual prices (while also earning a 30% rebate of select Canada Soccer Umbro merchandise on match day).



Fans are encouraged to help “Paint the Stadium Red” in support of the national team. Following the 2 September match, Canada will return for further group matches on 11 October (against St. Lucia) and 15 November (against St. Kitts and Nevis).



Local soccer clubs can further help “Paint the Stadium Red” through a group sales initiative offered by the Canadian Soccer Association and Ontario Soccer Association. These groups can take advantage of a 20% discount by contacting the group sales team at marketing@soccercan.ca or 613.237.7678.



Coach Hart will select his players from professional clubs in Canada as well as other North American and European countries. The roster will be unveiled at CanadaSoccer.com at 11.00 ET / 08.00 PT. Coach Hart will then talk to the national press via a media call.
