he was a youngster when his family moved from Scotland to Nanaimo, BC, CAN... owned a grocery store in Victoria... he was 57 years old when he passed away in Victoria, BC... said Adam in 1924 before leaving with Canada for a tour of Australia and New Zealand, “followers of soccer in Canada can rest assured that all will do their best”... as noted in 1924 in an Australia program, Adam was “once one of the finest centre forwards Canada has ever seen”...

served as manager of the 1924 Canadian team that toured Australia and New Zealand... served as manager of the 1927 Canadian team that toured New Zealand, with 21 wins in 24 matches over a 10-week span (including four test matches in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland)...
