Canada was eliminated from group play at the 2010 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship. Canada lost its second group match, this time 1:3 to host and former CONNCACAF champion Mexico. Canada lost its opening match to another former champion, El Salvador, on Wednesday.

Mexico and El Salvador are perfect at six points after two matches. They will face each other on Friday for first place in the group. Canada and Jamaica, both eliminated, will face each other for third place in the group.

"Tomorrow we will play against Jamaica and we will give the young kids a chance to play," said Canadian coach Ross Ongaro. "It will be their opportunity to show they should be part of a larger player pool for the next CONCACAF championship."

In the opposite group, USA and Costa Rica are both perfect with six points. USA won 6:3 over Bahamas while Costa Rica won 5:2 over Guatemala.

While group play concludes on Friday, the two semi-final matches on Saturday 4 December will determine CONCACAF’s entries for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 in Rome, Italy. The 16-team championship has already qualified Italy, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland and Ukraine.
