Canada Is Eliminated From Gold Cup

Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Men’s World Cup Team was today eliminated from the 2003 CONCACAF Men’s Gold Cup after placing third in Group D.



The Canadian team was unable to pass through to the next round after Costa Rica defeated Cuba 3:0 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. With only one goal compared to Cuba’s two, Canada finished in third place behind Costa Rica and Cuba.



Cuba and Costa Rica will continue to the quarter-finals which are to begin on Saturday, July 19th.
