National Scouting Weekends Acoss Canada

Posted on 23 February 2005 in National Training Centres

Vaughan, Ontario –Men's Youth (U20) Head Coach Dale Mitchell will be scouting players at the National Training Centre of Ontario following his triumphant return from Honduras where the National Youth Team qualified for the FIFA World Youth Championship Netherlands 2005 in Holland later this June. The games will all be played at the Ontario Soccer Centre 7601 Martin Grove Road on the 11-a-side indoor field.

“I am looking forward to my first visit of the year to the NTC-Ontario, as it will be the ideal opportunity to evaluate players for the upcoming camps and tours; in particular the Dallas Cup where the 1987 Boys will be competing in the U19 Super Group,” said Mitchell “Hopefully the players can make a positive impact through their performances in the games.”

On the other side of the country Men's U17 Head Coach Stephen Hart will be scouting players at the BC-National Training Centre. He has recently returned Italy where the Junior Team reached the semi-final of the 2005 Beppe-Viola Youth Tournament losing to Atalanta.

“This will be a great opportunity for the players to hear from Stephen about the experiences he and the team had in Italy, and what the standards and styles of play were,” said Michael Findlay NTC-BC Director.

David Benning, CSA Technical Programs Manager will be joining Sean Fleming, Director of the NTC-Prairies, Percy Hoff, Director of RTC-Saskatchewan and Stuart Neely, RTC-Manitoba Director on his first visit to Edmonton to scout players which cover three provinces and five training centres.
