Ottawa, Ontario - Canada's Men's Under-18 Team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Republic of Ireland in the second of a two-game series in Dublin, Ireland Thursday.

After the Irish had opened up a two-goal halftime lead on goals by Jonathan Daly (13th minute) and Keith Graydon (19th minute), the Canadians rebounded and got to within one when Wyn Belotte scored in the 63rd minute.

Canada and Ireland played to a scoreless draw in the first game on Tuesday.

"We started poorly and gave the ball away a lot," said Canadian head coach Ray Clark. "Two early goals set us back a long way but the players stuck to the task and got back into the game in the second half. Overall we are pleased with the series of games. Hopefully our players can learn something from this and move on to the next project with some confidence."
