he was married to his wife Isabella... he was 75 years old when he passed away in Winnipeg on 29 April 1949 (he was buried at Brookside Cemetery)... once called “The Grand Old Man of western Canada soccer”... was in fact the first DCFA president to resign from his position, doing so in 1925 “over the issue of Sunday soccer”... from the Dominion of Canada Football Association’s 1925 Annual Meeting, it was said of Easton’s resignation that “we desire to go on record as appreciating the services which he has rendered to the game”... had the honour of making the 1930 Dominion championship presentation to Connaught Cup winners Westminster Royals... from the Dominion of Canada Football Association’s 1949 Annual Meeting, it was remembered that Easton was “one of the most ardent and most enthusiastic soccer legislators”...

served as president of  Winnipeg Celtic... served as president of the Manitoba Football Association (1916-28)... served as a vice president of the Canadian Soccer Association (1921-22), then known as the Dominion of Canada Football Association... served as the seventh president of the Canadian Soccer Association (1922-25), then known as the Dominion of Canada Football Association...
