Julian de Guzman, Terry Dunfield and Ashtone Morgan helped keep Toronto FC in the hunt for Canada’s first CONCACAF Champions League title.

Olivier Occean netted his league-leading 16th goal of the season for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in Germany.

Atiba Hutchinson went the distance for PSV Eindhoven as the Dutch giants stayed in the hunt for the Eredivisie title and a place in the UEFA Champions League

CONCACAF Champions League

Toronto FC’s trio of Canadian internationals Julian de Guzman, Terry Dunfield and Ashtone Morgan played the full 90 minutes in the first leg of the clubs’s semi-final clash with Santos Laguna, helping the Reds to a 1:1 home draw. The 2011 Canadian Champions will now need to produce a result in Torreón on 4 April 2012 in order to have any hope of advancing to the CONCACAF Champions League Final.

Germany

2.Bundesliga

Olivier Occean was on the mark yet again for SpVgg Greuther Fürth as the Canadian striker notched his league-leading 16th goal of the campaign, but Greuther Fürth could only manage a 1:1 draw away to Erzgebirge Aue.

The result means that Fürth have slipped into second place in 2.Budesliga, one point behind leaders Eintracth Frankfurt. Fürth however remain on course for one of the two automatic promotion spots to the Bundesliga.

3.Bundesliga

Adam Straith played 90 minutes in a 1:1 draw for Saarbrücken away to Rot-Weiss Erfurt.

England

Premier League

Simeon Jackson played the entire second half in a 2:1 loss for Norwich City away to Fulham in England’s top flight. The results sees the Canaries slip down to 12th in the table, but Jackson’s side remain 11 points clear of relegation and look almost certain to survive their first season in the Premier League.

Championship

David Edgar featured in all 180 minutes of an up-and-down week for Burnley FC in the Championship.

Edgar played the full 90 minutes and assisted on the second goal of Burnley’s 5:1 romp over Portsmouth on 31 March before taking part in his side’s 1:3 home loss to Birmingham City on 4 April.

League One

Iain Hume played the final half-hour of Preston North End’s 2:0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.

North America

Major League Soccer

Patrice Bernier played 90 minutes in midfield for Impact Montréal as it was defeated 2:5 away to the New York Red Bulls.

Julian de Guzman, Terry Dunfield and Ashtone Morgan all featured in Toronto FC’s 0:1 home loss to the Columbus Crew.

Dwayne De Rosario played 84 minutes in D.C. United’s 4:1 home victory over FC Dallas. He recorded two assists.

Will Johnson was a 59th-minute substitute as Real Salt Lake mounted a late come-from-behind victory to knock off the Portland Timbers 3:2 away from home. Johnson recorded an assist on Jonny Steele's equaliser in the 89th minute before captain Kyle Beckerman scored the winner in added time.

Ante Jazic played 81 minutes for Chivas USA in an 0:1 home loss to Sporting Kansas City.

Netherlands

Eredivisie

Atiba Hutchinson played 90 minutes at right back in PSV Eindhoven’s 2:0 home over VVV Venlo. The win keeps PSV within striking distance of the league title and a UEFA Champions League place. PSV are four points back of Ajax in first place, and three points behind AZ Alkmaar in second place – who currently hold the final Champions League spot.

Romania

Liga 1

Milan Borjan played 90 minutes in a 1:1 home draw for FC Vaslui against CFR Cluj. Borjan has not relinquished the starting goalkeeper position since arriving at the club on a transfer from Sivasspor in Turkey.

Liga 2

Tosaint Ricketts wan an 80th-minute substitute for Politehnica Timişoara in a 2:1 win over Olt.

Norway

Eliteserien

Lars Hirschfeld played 90 minutes in goal for Vålerenga in a 2:3 away loss to Strømsgodset.
